Recommended Presets
FJ Flow features a preset system that allows you to instantly apply optimal settings configurations with a single click.
5 Recommended Presets
You can select and apply the following presets directly from the “Presets” tab in the settings GUI:
1. Default
- Concept: Recommended for most users. Provides standard, well-balanced presets.
- Features: Displays a medium-sized caret indicator (reflecting IME states) and applies standard-width border highlights to active windows.
2. Minimal
- Concept: Designed for users who want to eliminate visual distractions during writing.
- Features: Reduces caret indicator sizes and hides it instantly without delay once typing starts. Window highlighting is kept to a minimum.
3. Accessibility
- Concept: Designed for low-vision users or those who want to clearly track the active focus points.
- Features: Displays a very large, bold caret indicator and applies thick window borders that pulse smoothly to guide focus.
4. Presentation
- Concept: Designed for live presentations, coding demonstrations, or video streaming.
- Features: Displays an enlarged caret indicator so the audience does not lose track of the text cursor. It also configures settings to make the active line highlight (F8) easy to trigger.
5. System Monitor
- Concept: Designed for developers and power users who want to monitor system performance at a glance.
- Features: Sets the window highlight color mode to “CPU/RAM Linked”. The active window border color gradients dynamically based on CPU load, and the window background fill opacity scales with physical RAM consumption.
Preset Detection & Synchronization
- “Applied” Badge Detection:
- The utility monitors active preference values (including font sizes, delays, border styles, and color modes).
- If your current configurations match the criteria of any built-in preset, the corresponding preset button in the GUI displays an “Applied” badge.
- If you customize any setting away from the template, the badge disappears, indicating a custom configuration is active.
- Synchronization Lock:
- Applying a preset changes multiple preference fields at once.
- To prevent UI flicker or event loop conflicts during mass updates, the GUI uses a synchronization lock (
isSyncingControls), ensuring smooth transitions.
Key Extension Presets vs. Overall Display Presets
The Presets tab (Tab 1) configures the overall visual balance (indicators, window frames, dims). If you wish to switch key mapping functionality (Space Shift navigation, symbol hold shortcuts, and layer rules), use the dedicated Key Extension Presets (Basic / Advanced / Full Set) located inside the “Key Extensions” tab (Tab 6). See Key Extension Manual for details.
